COFFS COAST SCHOOLS’ MINISTRY (CCSM)
Coffs Coast Schools Ministry | Bringing hope by providing a solid foundation (ccsm.org.au)The vision of CCSM is that every student in our Public Schools might be exposed to the Christian teachings and the Good News in a culturally relevant way, with ongoing opportunities to respond and become involved in a local church. CCSM currently has 72 volunteer teachers who minister to students in 21 Primary Schools, and 2 paid teachers & 3 assistants teaching years 7 – 9 in the High Schools in the Coffs District. Altogether these teachers are taking the Good News to approximately 6 000 students. These people are supported by the CCSM Board, which is accountable to the Christian Ministers Association –and this group represents almost all the Churches in this area.
How can you support this mission?
- By becoming a teacher and joining the ranks of those working in schools.
- By Prayer support. The CCSM Newsletter is available on the CCSM mission table at the back of the church. You can register as a prayer support person via the form in the newsletter.
- By making a financial commitment. Donations are fully tax deductible. A CCSM donation box can be found at the back of St John’s – and many parishioners make a donation of a few dollars each week. This money is forwarded to the CCSM Board, and is used to buy equipment and resources.
For further information check out the CCSM website HERE.
